The Potential Shot of the Year 2014

2 Years ago I used to carry a camera around with me everywhere I went (in fact the camera never used to leave my bag unless I was taking a photo or the camera was charging). I used to carry a camera around with me cause you never know what's going to happen and it could be a potential shot. It wasn't until about 2013 that stopped carrying a camera around with me because I never found anything to photograph.

The week commencing the 27th October 2014 I carried my camera around with me everywhere I went that week (see previous Bournemouth and surrounding area posts) apart from Friday 31st October because the plan was just to go shopping in Bournemouth. However because it was a nice day, everyone decided to walk through the gardens and to the beach. Whilst walking through the gardens we noticed a slight crowd gathering looking at a patch of grass, when walking past the crowd and looking through the gaps we saw a hawk eating a live pigeon. So we found a open space and watched the hawk.

Everyone was there taking photos with cameras and phones. A lot of people will be thinking, Why didn't I use the camera on my phone? Which is a very good question, because camera phones was a another reason why I stopped carrying a camera around with me because it was easier to take the photo and share it straight away. Now I did have a camera phone until I accidently broke the phone earlier in the year, I had to downgrade (quite a way) from a Nokia Lumia 820 to Nokia 3310. Most people will remember the Nokia 3310 but for all the young people that are reading google it and you will be amazed.

Thanks to my sisters fiancée I was able to borrow the photos that he took of the hawk to show all of you my 'potential shot of the year'.

Thank you reading my blog and I hope that you like the photos.
